Shooting winter scenes continually surprises me as one of my growing loves, as I used to dread the approach of what was supposed to be a dismal season.  Yet, year after year, I find more joy in shooting these photos.  Between the deep drifts of snow, sleeping flowers, or the deep quiet and reprieve that winter brings us, I get just as excited for winter to return, as a child can be for Christmas gifts!
